With over two decades of experience in the food distribution industry, Bobby Keomany has been instrumental in transforming Thai United from a family-run importer into one of Canada’s leading national distributors of authentic Asian food products.

As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, he leads Thai United’s national sales and marketing strategy, working closely with major retailers, suppliers, and internal teams to strengthen customer relationships and expand the presence of global ethnic brands across Canada.

Known for his ability to translate vision into action, Bobby combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. He has a reputation for seeing the big picture while managing the operational details that drive real results.

His leadership is grounded in trust, collaboration, and a relentless focus on follow-through, qualities that have helped Thai United earn recognition from both partners and peers, including T&T Vendor of the Year (East & West Region) and ongoing commendations from top international suppliers.

A Career Built on Global Perspective

Before joining Thai United full time, Bobby gained valuable experience at Procter & Gamble, working with the Market Development Organization’s Walmart Team, where he developed expertise in category management, brand strategy, and retail execution. This corporate foundation—combined with his family’s entrepreneurial roots—shaped his ability to balance disciplined planning with the adaptability needed in a fast-changing industry.

Professional Credentials and Industry Engagement

A member of CPA Canada, Bobby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Simon Fraser University.

He remains an active contributor to Canada’s food and retail community, frequently speaking at international trade shows such as THAIFEX, Anuga, and Food Taipei, and serving as a guest speaker and business case judge at Beedie School of Business.

Rooted in Family, Focused on the Future

Growing up in the family business, Bobby learned firsthand the values of resilience, integrity, and continuous improvement. Those lessons guide his approach to leadership today, balancing tradition with innovation as Thai United continues to expand its national footprint.

Outside of work, Bobby supports immigrant integration and employment initiatives in Canada. He also enjoys spending time with his family, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, playing basketball and golf, and traveling to discover new food trends.
